I was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and thus despite moving to Kilkenny in Ireland in 2004 many of my paintings are of Scottish scenes or reflect the beautiful heathers and blues that permeate Scottish scenery.
With no formal training in art, in 2013 my very cynical self was informed by a Yogi that I would be much happier if I stopped denying my creative side. Later that week I happened upon a poster advertising a weekly art class run by local artist Gillian Campden and there I discovered a real love of colour exploration straight from brush.
Painting anything that inspires me, from blind oil paint abstract to acrylic landscapes, seascapes quickly grew to be a first love with the energy and colours of the sea and sky a wonderful challenge to capture.
In the few short years from first picking up a brush, I’ve had the honour of being invited to exhibit all over Kilkenny, Carlow and Dublin.
I moved to the South East of England in 2019 and now live next to a beautiful, ever changing sea and huge sky with the most gorgeous sunsets. Contentedly watched with my soulmate, our kids, the cat and the dogs.
